Asbestos Removal by Safeway Asbestos Removals

Asbestos is a dangerous material, Due to its strength and heat resistance it has been utilised in a wide range of construction largely between 1940 and mid 1980's.

Even if your house was built since then, asbestos may still be found in some areas.  Left alone and unbroken, asbestos is mostly harmless, but if broken up, it can cause irreparable damage to your lungs.

Our team are fully committed to safe asbestos removal practices and follow regulations and guidelines setdown by Worksafe.

Asbestos and your Health

Breathing in airborne Asbestos fibres is a serious health risk.
Most Asbestos diseases lie dormant for 20+ years before symptoms occur.
Asbestos fibres can be invisible to the naked eye and float in the air for up to 30 days resulting in inhalation.

Possible Health Effects:
  • Non-Cancerous diseases which can effect the linings around the lungs and abdomen.
  • Asbestosis - Irreversible Scarring of the Lungs which impairs breathing
  • Mesothelioma - Cancer of the linings of the lungs.  Asbestos exposure is the main cause of this form of cancer.
