Simon has a long standing working relationship with RSL and became general manager in 2017. In 2021 he and his wife Monique took over the day to day running of the business.

He gained managerial experience through his previous employment and running his own Engineering Business which is in the same premises as RSL.

Simon’s true passion lies with Engineering and Mechanical and through this he is extremely versatile when applying this knowledge to roofing and construction works.

Simon strives for perfection and customer satisfaction is imperative in both companies.

Simon is a Certified Class A & B Asbestos removalist and oversees most of our Asbestos contracts..

Simon brings a fresh approach to staff and business management and is well respected within the construction industry.

Monique has over 20 years’ experience in the roofing industry.

Roofing is truly in her blood, and she is deeply passionate about customer satisfaction and the development of her team.

Throughout her time in the business, Monique has built extensive knowledge of residential roofing systems and the products used across a wide range of projects. She takes great pride in seeing the transformation a re-roof can bring to a property.

Monique is trained in Exact Roofing software and works alongside Fergus to provide clients with accurate, efficient, and timely quotes.

She is also responsible for the Health & Safety management of the business and works closely on asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance and best-practice outcomes.

Outside of RSL, Monique balances her role by supporting the engineering business she runs with her husband, Simon, while raising their family.

Peter has been in the roofing industry for 35+ years.  After he served a plumbing apprenticeship he worked as a roofer, during which time he was also the workshop manager of a roofing sheet metal factory in Melbourne Australia. 

Upon his return to New Zealand he was employed as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator with a roofing manufacturing company prior to beginning his employment with The Roofing Specialists. 

Peter has been a valued member of the RSL team for 30 years. 

Throughout this time he has had to liaison with architects, suppliers, site managers and other key trades people.

He is continuously faced with new products and specifications as the industry expands and strives to find the best solutions for our clients.

Jamie has a long-standing working relationship with RSL either through the wage staff or subcontracting since 2007.

Jamie holds his National Certificate in Metal Roofing and Wall Cladding as well as his Building Practitioner (LBP) Licence, he also has extensive experience has part of our Asbestos removal team.

Communication with staff and clients is a high priority for Jamie and when roofing he consistently performs to a high standard striving to meet and beat targets. 

Jamie is a positive role model for other members of our team and his friendly and professional attitude makes him an approachable mentor when training others.

He has experience leading teams of various sizes and skill levels through his experience subcontracting all of this making him just the right person to have as our Project Supervisor.

Kerri joined the team in 2023 and spends weekdays in the office (school hours)
